Terms of service

Operated by publr Inc., subject to the laws of Brazil unless your local consumer-protection law overrides them.

Effective:

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account on publr, uploading a file or sharing a publr URL, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. You must be at least 16 years old, or 13 with a parent's permission where local law allows. You can close your account at any time.

2. The service

publr is a smart-URL hosting platform: you give us a safe file (a PDF, image, ZIP archive, single-file HTML page or video on Pro+) and we give you a public URL. We provide a sandbox URL for anonymous uploads and account-bound URLs for signed-in users. Pro and Agency plans add custom domains, scheduled publishing, streaming video, advanced analytics and team features.

We make our best effort to keep the service available, but we don't promise uptime targets at the Free or Starter tier. Pro and Agency plans include best-effort 99.9% monthly uptime; we publish status at status.publr.host.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of every file you upload. By uploading a file you grant publr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, cache, reformat (e.g. HLS transcoding), display and distribute the file only for the purpose of operating the service. We do not claim ownership and we do not use your files to train machine-learning models.

You are responsible for the content you upload — including making sure you have the rights to share it. If a third party reports your content as infringing or unsafe, we may take it offline pending review (see Acceptable use below).

4. Acceptable use

You may not upload, share or use publr URLs to distribute content that:

  • is unlawful in your jurisdiction or in Brazil;
  • contains CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) — zero tolerance;
  • contains malware, ransomware or phishing scaffolding;
  • impersonates a person, organisation or government;
  • infringes copyright, trademark or other intellectual-property rights;
  • discloses private information without consent (doxxing);
  • incites violence, terrorism or self-harm;
  • distributes weapons schematics, drug-manufacturing instructions or other content prohibited by Brazilian law;
  • spams, defrauds or otherwise abuses our visitors.

A more technical breakdown lives at /prohibited-content. We use OpenAI's moderation API on every upload as a baseline safety net; visitors can additionally report URLs at /report-abuse.

5. Payments and refunds

Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly via Stripe. You can change plan, change interval or cancel at any time from your billing dashboard. Cancelled subscriptions stay active until the end of the paid period; after that, your account stays open at Free-tier limits and your existing URLs continue to work.

We refund any subscription within 14 days of the initial charge, no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. Annual subscriptions cancelled mid-period are not pro-rated unless consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires it.

6. Account termination

You can close your account from the Account → Danger Zone screen. Closing your account triggers a 30-day soft-delete: your URLs are taken offline immediately, but the data remains exportable for 30 days, after which it is permanently deleted from our primary store (analytics aggregates may be retained for up to 12 months in anonymised form).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. For egregious violations (CSAM, malware distribution) we may terminate without notice and report the activity to law enforcement.

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data.

You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from content you uploaded or actions you took on the service.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms — for instance, when we add new features or change pricing. Material changes are announced 30 days in advance via email and via a banner in the dashboard. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of São Paulo, Brazil — without prejudice to your local consumer-protection rights, including LGPD (Brazil) and GDPR (EU).
